Call us when your heat is
- Blowing cold air
- A failed igniter, flame sensor or gas valve will let the blower run with no heat behind it.
- Not starting at all
- Thermostat, control board, safety switch or power. We trace it instead of guessing.
- Starting, then shutting off
- Short cycling is often a dirty flame sensor, overheating, or a blocked filter or vent.
- Heating some rooms and not others
- Airflow, duct or zoning problems. Sometimes a system that was never sized right.
- Making a burning or electrical smell
- Turn the system off. If you smell gas, leave the house and call your gas company or 911 first.
- Running up the bill
- A heat pump stuck on backup heat, or a furnace working against a restriction.

Questions we get
Do you repair heat pumps as well as furnaces?
Yes. Heat pumps are common at the shore and they fail in their own ways: defrost problems, reversing valves, backup heat running nonstop. We work on both.
What should I check before I call?
Make sure the thermostat is set to HEAT with fresh batteries, the filter is not clogged, and the furnace switch and breaker are on. If it still will not run, call us.
I smell gas. Who do I call?
Leave the house first. Call your gas company's emergency line or 911 from outside. Once they clear it, we can repair the equipment.
